What is a Co-operative?:

A co-operative is (in general) an organisation owned and managed by a group of people working together for their mutual benefit. This management structure is of particular benefit in organic farming, since each farmer only grows crops suitable for the local soil; by working with other farms, a full range of produce can be grown and sold on.

In addition, co-operatives exchange information to improve their harvests, and it is not uncommon for different co-operatives to co-operate. Organic farmers work in harmony not only with the earth, but also with each other!
