Aubergines and Spuds:
You may have come across the
S.P.U.D. site on your internet wanderings, although probably not. It is the
story of the fight between potatoes and aubergines (which it, like many people,
calls eggplants.)
Trivial bit of fun? Well, yes, but it does have its roots in fact. Aubergines
harbour the Colorado potato beetle and are hence very bad companions - they will
"attack" potatoes if planted together...
